Functionality:

** This engine is being sold at a discounted rate due to the excessive oil / carbon buildup in the exhaust ports as shown. The engine was removed from a running and driving vehicle that produced a very minor amount of smoke from the tail pipe under hard accelerations. We have also compression tested the engine with slightly lower compression cylinder #2 (results : 185-165-185-190). We highly recommend having this engine professionally inspected for valve stem seals or piston oiling ring replacement prior to use. ** 

Physical Condition:

In good physical condition, Engine block has not been hit or cracked in any way. Free off any major surface rusting or corrosion. The exhaust manifold studs / hardware typically rust and seize due to the extreme heat cycling. We recommend using new hardware and studs for installation. The engine had some visible oil leak residue from the valve cover gasket, rear main seal, and front main seal. It is recommended to replace gaskets. Includes the engine long block, valve cover, coil pack, fuel rail, injectors, wiring harness, motor mount brackets, EGR Valve, crank pulley, and intake manifold as shown. You will need to reuse some of your existing hardware and components for installation.

Fitment Information:

Removed from a 1991 Miata with the automatic transmission. The Engine internals on the Automatic transmission equipped models were slightly different with marginally lower horsepower output when new.
