Functionality:

In good working condition, the latch stays fully locked when in the closed position.

Physical Condition:

Includes the factory top latch with striker plate and mounting hardware, as shown. This is the updated top latch design that was seen on 2003+ models. The original striker cap has been replaced with an aftermarket cap, as shown. The exterior has some visible pitting, scratches, and peeling from age and regular use, as shown. You may need to reuse some of your existing hardware for installation.

1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 Mazda Miata (using the included striker plates)

Fitment Notes:

The top latch cap design was changed for the 2003+ model years. This will still fit earlier models using the included striker plates for installation.
